The National Forest Fondation is an organization dedicated to the preservation and education of the many benefits the National Forest has on the well being of all who visit and spend time enjoying the beauty around them. This was a campaign direction I developed based on the idea of simply getting out there and letting the forest do what has now been scientifically proven it can do, physically make you feel better. So "Go Ahead and Take a Time Out." The focus of the campaign, shown here in 3 print executions, was based around iconic characters who by their very nature were evil and could us a well needed "Time Out". The orignal idea would be to mix it up later in the campaign with other character who were happy by nature shown also enjoying the National Forest.
But to emphasis the true power of spend just 1 hour outdoors would be beter conveyed with an evil icon to kick it all off. Showing them acting out of character, being joyous, skipping and happy as they frolic in the surroundings of the National Forest would be achieved with a location shoot with either orignal talent and/or original costumes. TV and radio would also be done in campaign with such icons as Darth Vader, The Wicked Witch of the West, Dr. Evil and Cruella Deville to name a few. In the end the client choose another path but this print spread and single page ads were part of the first round of creative I comped to help sell the idea.
